Danny Becher

born 1953 in braunschweig, germany,
is giving seminars on musical phenomena, concerts and classes since 1981 in different european countries.
Before that he had been living in India for 9 years, working in an Ayurvedic Institute, and as a designer in a multi-cultural-centre. Side by that he studied yoga and indian classical music. -
Since childhood he is interrested and trained in music and absolved studies in western classical music theory, classical music-history, church music and conducting 4-part classical choirs. Training the voice in belcanto classical singing style, gregorian interpretation and overtone chanting resulted in a synthesis of voice expression and he developed his own style.
'Using the voice is a means of setting oneself into different vibrational patterns, for a better well being on physical, mental and emotional level.

WORKSHOPS, COURSES and CD's

Message of Sound - - my research in making sound visible resulted in photos and films of sound resonance in water.
Sound awareness - Depending on our ability of looking at things from different sides, we discover hidden qualities in sound when listening with an open mind
Overtone chant - discovering overtones in instruments and the voice, to finally controle them as an melodic instrument itself; the relation of sound, body, mind and emotion; making sound visible
Lectures - since we are always surrounded by sound we discover the hidden sides of music and sound, to become aware about its effect on our being and how we can use sound and music for our well-being
Childrens workshop - listening with the hands, looking at sound when it manifests as resonance pattern, and experiencing sound in a playfull manner

Paintings - all paintings are oil on wood and are a meditative process often related to musical structures and appearances.
Stained glass+Stones - Stained glas windows are another expression of Danny Bechers creativity. Traditional panels as well as combinations of glas, transparent stone and different metals. Two-dimensional panels and windows, and experiments in 3 dimensional objects.
